ANNOUNCEMENT: Submit Your SEL/Character Building Practices

Social emotional learning (SEL) and character building have long been at the core of school and community based expanded learning programs. For many of us, this work was  instinctual. However, recent research has confirmed the importance of this work in promoting learning and healthy development and called on programs to be more intentional in their program design and practices.

Temescal Associates and the Expanded Learning 360°/365 project has framed the work of  SEL and character building in three areas: We Are, We Belong, We Can.

We are putting together a briefing paper to capture actual program practices that are being used to promote social emotional learning and character building. We invite you to submit and share program practices for this paper. If your practice is selected, your program will be highlighted in our briefing paper as well as on our website. To learn more and to submit your practice, click HERE:  http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/3994253/SEL-Promising-Practices
